HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)

PrEP is a highly effective strategy that involves an HIV-negative person taking HIV medications on an ongoing basis to reduce the risk of HIV infection. When PrEP is taken as prescribed, HIV transmission is very rare.
