U=U and injection drug use

As is the case for all other groups, people who inject drugs will not transmit HIV through sexual activity if they have an undetectable viral load. However, while research suggests that having an undetectable viral load can help prevent HIV transmission through the sharing of injection drug use equipment, there is not sufficient evidence to say that there is no risk of transmission.1
