Human Immunodeficiency Virus: Screening and Testing Guide

The Public Health Agency of Canada's newly published HIV Screening and Testing Guide is designed to complement existing efforts to support care providers involved in HIV testing in an effort to reduce the number of undiagnosed HIV infections in Canada. The Guide reflects a carefully considered range of input obtained from a large number of stakeholders involved in HIV testing across Canada and encourages care providers to consider offering HIV testing when providing routine medical care, so that people living with HIV can benefit from advances in HIV treatment and prevent onward HIV transmission.
