Hépatite C et grossesse

This webinar is in French only.

This information session helps participants better understand hepatitis C screening and care during pregnancy, highlighting clinical guidelines and best practices. The session will cover preconception and prenatal testing, hepatitis C treatment and linkage to care, and postpartum and pediatric care.

Structural factors like gender-based violence, sexism and fewer inclusive harm reduction services have created hepatitis C risk environments and barriers to care for women and trans and nonbinary people. The possibility of perinatal transmission poses additional challenges for those who are pregnant. Recent updates to Canadian guidelines recommend universal hepatitis C screening in pregnancy, recognizing prenatal care as an ideal opportunity for diagnosis and linkage to care.
