Hepatitis C elimination: Sustaining the Canadian response during and after COVID-19

Event Date:
June 25 2020, 12:30 pm EDT

This webinar is presented in partnership with the Canadian Network on Hepatitis C (CanHepC).

The Blueprint to Inform Hepatitis C Elimination Efforts in Canada was released a year ago as a road map to guide the response to hepatitis C in Canada. However, the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has had a major impact on hepatitis C services and has put certain populations at greater risk of infection. Despite this, Canada has committed to reach elimination by 2030. In order to sustain our efforts during and after COVID-19, there may be opportunities to adapt and streamline services and consider new models of care.

In this webinar, leading voices in hepatitis C will explore the implications of COVID-19 for elimination efforts and for people living with hepatitis C, and how to address these issues and the pathway to elimination during and after the pandemic.
