First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and Hep C

Alexandra King, MD, FRCPC is a member of the Nipissing First Nation (Ontario). Her ancestry includes Ojibwe, Mohawk, Algonquin, and mixed European. As a General Internist with a focus on HIV and hepatitis C, she works at the Vancouver Infectious Diseases Centre (VIDC), which offers state-of-the-art antiviral medications, often available only within research protocols, and comprehensive support during and after treatment.

In this webinar, Dr. King explores the barriers faced by Aboriginal people in accessing hepatitis C care, and what service providers can do to help.
