Do you plan or provide HIV prevention programs in a rural or remote area of Canada? This webinar introduces a new website created to assist service providers working in these areas.

Many HIV prevention program models respond to the needs of urban communities, but these strategies can be impractical or ineffective in rural settings. A team of researchers, led by the CIHR Social Research Centre in HIV Prevention (SRC), has assembled a compilation of promising and innovative HIV prevention programs in rural and remote areas of Canada.

  • Catherine Worthington, University of Victoria
  • Tamara Herman, Research Assistant

The Rural HIV Prevention in Canada website is a bilingual project led by SRC with the support of the Canadian Aboriginal AIDS Network, Canadian AIDS Society, CATIE and the CIHR Canadian HIV Trials Network.
