Selection Criteria for Internet Resources

To be listed on CATIE's Web site, Internet resources must meet the following criteria:

The resource must be an accurate source of information concerning HIV prevention, treatment, care or support. This may include epidemiology or social impacts of HIV, AIDS or a closely related condition.
Information available via the resource must be relevant to Canadians.
The resource must meet the needs of one or more of these audiences:
- people living with HIV or AIDS, their partners, friends, or caregivers;
- people vulnerable to HIV;
- health professionals;
- community-based organizations.

In addition, resources will be more likely to be reviewed and included in this list if:

the sources of the information provided by the resource are well documented;
time-sensitive material published by the resource is current;
information provided by the resource is indexed or otherwise arranged in a manner which provides users with easy access to it.
