The Sex You Want: An Ontario response to gay men's sexual health

Event Date:
25 July 2017, 13:00 EDT

Despite scientific advances in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of HIV, cisgender and transgender gay, bisexual, queer and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM) continue to be overrepresented in the HIV epidemic in Ontario. Launched in January 2017, The Sex You Want is a community-driven, sex-positive, and evidence-informed sexual health education resource.

In this webinar, Dane Griffiths from the Gay Men's Sexual Health Alliance will provide an overview of this online sexual health promotion intervention including the development, implementation and evaluation. We will discuss the role and need for combination approaches to gay men's sexual health and lessons learned from developing the campaign.

Dane will be joined by Eric and Holly from Elevate NWO in Thunder Bay. They will present on how they identified the need for a Men’s Sexual Health Clinic, the partnerships that made it happen and an update on where the clinic stands today.
