Gerard Yetman

Gerard Yetman, BA, B Ed, MA is a graduate of Memorial University and the University of Toronto. Gerard is one of the founding members of the AIDS Committee of Newfoundland & Labrador and served the organization as the PHA Support Coordinator as well as the Executive Director for 10 years. Gerard worked as the Manager of National Programs with the Canadian AIDS Society as well with Health Canada’s AIDS Community Action Program.

Gerard has served on provincial, regional and national Board of Directors including CTAC, CWGHR, CAS and the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network. He also contributed as a member of the National Advisory Committee to the development of CATIE’s first edition (1996) of Managing Your Health.

Gerard worked on Health Canada’s Palliative Care Strategy for the past seven years and in January of this year returned to Newfoundland to serve as Executive Director of the AIDS Committee of Newfoundland & Labrador and the Tommy Sexton Centre.
