Get your free H1N1 vaccine

Health Canada has approved a vaccine to protect people from infection with H1N1 (swine flu). The vaccine is safe and contains an inactivated virus—this cannot cause swine flu but can help your body resist this virus should you become exposed in the future.

People who are living with HIV are a priority group to get vaccinated. The vaccine involves a single injection (except in children under 10) and is available free of charge across Canada.

Contact your doctor, nurse or public health clinic to discuss when and where you can get vaccinated.

Decisions about particular medical treatments should always be made in consultation with a qualified medical practitioner who is knowledgeable about HIV-related illness and the treatments in question. MORE
