Women and HIV: Past, present and future. Implications for Research, Policy and Practice

18th Annual Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS Research
April 23, 2009
8am-5pm
Westin Bayshore Hotel
Vancouver, British Columbia

The one day session, “Women and HIV in Canada: The Past, the Present, and the Future. Implications for Research, Policy and Practice” will provide an opportunity for the dissemination of findings from key national projects related to women and HIV in Canada.  This session is planned for a diverse audience of approximately 60 from research, policy and community stakeholder groups.  The purpose of this knowledge translation and exchange session is to share lessons learned on HIV among Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal women in Canada as a means of determining potential gaps in our work and a way forward in addressing these gaps in research, programming and policy.
